Welcome to Citizen Church
Our prayer is that you find community, hope, faith, and encouragement. God gave us the vision to move to Stamford, Connecticut from New York City to plant a non-denominational church in Stamford, CT in 2016. Through our time pastoring and leading different ministries, we sensed God calling us to start our own non-denominational church in Stamford, CT. Over the last year, we have met around dinner tables, in living rooms, and in churches.
Citizen Church is here to love the people of Stamford, CT and tell them about the good news of Jesus Christ and teach them the ways of His Kingdom. We believe Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, and the surrounding communities are ready for revival, and that God can change the landscape to be one of vibrant faith!

Our Beliefs
Authority of Scripture
Every word of the Bible possesses the authority of God and the right to rule the hearts, minds, and bodies of every person on earth. Scripture is God speaking and He has the final say in all matters—whether we submit to it or not.
Power of the Holy Spirit
The power of the Holy Spirit is the power of God. The Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, has appeared throughout Scripture as a Being through and by whom great works of power are made manifest. Jesus promised the Spirit as a permanent guide, teacher, and comforter for believers. He promised that the Holy Spirit’s power would help His followers to spread the message of the gospel around the world.
Role of the Church
We believe the church, as the body of Christ, is the extension of Jesus Christ’s character, attitude, behavior, and mission in our world today.

Blaze & Desirée Robertson are the Lead Pastors at Citizen Church, a non-denominational church in Stamford, CT. Since moving to Connecticut in 2016 with their children, they've dedicated their lives to building church and helping people encounter Jesus.
