Lead Pastor

Blaze Robertson is the Founding and Lead Pastor of Citizen Church in Stamford, CT. He and his wife, Desireé, moved to Connecticut in 2016 with their two children after sensing God’s call to plant a church in Stamford, CT. In 2024, they founded Citizen Church alongside a group of friends with a vision to see Stamford transformed by the gospel. Blaze is passionate about preaching the gospel, developing leaders, and building a church deeply rooted in Scripture, full of the presence of God, and committed to reaching people with the hope of Jesus. His heart is to see Stamford transformed by the gospel and to build a church that exists so THAT ALL MIGHT BELIEVE.

Evan Wheeler

Executive Pastor

Evan has served in ministry since the age of 17, with a passion for seeing people encounter Jesus and the local church live on mission. After serving as a worship pastor, youth and young adults pastor, and creative director, Evan now serves as Executive Pastor at Citizen Church in Stamford, CT. He is passionate about building a healthy, creative, and mission-focused church that loves its city and exists so THAT ALL MIGHT BELIEVE.
